The North of the state has a host of places to visit and enjoy. Tour can be planned on the day to incorporate most locations including some of Tasmania's finest vineyards and scenic positions.

Accomodation pickup and return, or use the tour to transfer from one location to another. Full and half day excursions are available, and all tours are personalised. Picnic lunches are provided on full day trips, and half tour rates are negotiated on distance, numbers and attractions required.



Deloraine and Great Lake

Departing Launceston at 9.00am via Westbury to Deloraine, then out through Meander to Golden Valley. Climbing the Western Tiers past Quamby Bluff to the unique Pine Lake, with it's beautiful stand of Pencil Pines. From the northern lookout we have a wide panoramic view across the Great Lake, and Central Plateau. We travel the 50 kms along the Western shore of Great Lake to the massive earth filled dam at Miena, then on to the fishing haven of the Arthurs Lakes. After a tour of Arthurs it's back along the eastern side of Great Lake to inspect the Poatina Power Scheme which has a 1,000 meter drop down to the station. Returning to Launceston passing through Cressy, Historic Longford and Perth.

Tamar Valley Vineyards

Departing Launceston at 9.00am to the Swiss Village of Grindelwald and a panoramic view or the Tamar River from Brady's Lookout, before the first of the cellar stops on the beautiful Rosevears Drive. Then on down the river through Deviot to Rowella and Holm Oak Vineyards. We cross the Batman Bridge on route to pipers River, an area rich in vineyards, and no less than four cellars to inspect. Returning towards Launceston via Pipers Brook and Lebrina an area offering some of the best positioning for vines in the North of the State. Lilydale nestled under Mt Arthur is our last stop before passing through the Hollybank State Forest arriving back in Launceston though the Northern Suburbs.

Heritage Highway Tour

Launceston to Hobart or vice versa. Ideal for inter city transfers, while at the same time having a guided tour of all the historic towns, and Sites. Woolmers or Brickendon can be visited, along with stop overs in Campbell Town, Ross, Oatlands and Richmond.

Mole Creek to Sheffield

Departing Launceston at 9.00am via Wesbury, Deloraine onto Mole Creek, the setting for the Trowunna Wildlife Park. The famous Marakoopa and King Solomon Caves are the next stop, and well worth inspection, on a guided tour. We then head up into the mountains, to Cethana in the Mersey Forth Power Scheme, and loop back around the spectacular Mt Rowland. Passing by Gowrie Park into the town of Murals, Sheffield. After a walk around this unique setting we follow the Mersey River down into Moltema calling at Ashgrove Cheese Farm on the way to Elizabeth Town. Returning to Launceston along the Old Bass Highway, though Carrick.

Cradle Mountain Day Tour

Departing Launceston 8:30am via Westbury, and Deloraine stopping at the Chudleigh Honey Farm on the way to Mole Creek. Then up into the mountains to Cethana, crossing the Forth River below the dam on the Mersey Forth Power Scheme. We take a panoramic view from the lookout over Lake Cethana before heading up onto the plateau, and into Cradle Mountain. Time is allowed for a short walk, a visit to the Eco-information Centre, and we drive the 7kms into Dove Lake at the base of Cradle.

After a picnic lunch in the wilderness, the tour takes you back through Sheffield, the town famous for it's murals, and time permitting we call at the Ashgrove Cheese Farm for a taste of their fare. Returning to Launceston along the old Bass Highway through Carrick arriving around 5:30pm.
This tour can start in Devonport, and Conclude in either Devonport or Launceston, Which makes it an ideal day transfer from the interstate Spirit Ferry to Launceston. A 2-day tour is also available on request for those who want to spend overnight, and more time at Cradle Mt. The price is according to the accommodation level required.
